Japanese Culture Experience Class

You can take an elective class once a week and learn more about your specific area of interest in the Japanese language.

Elective Classes On both of our campuses students can take an elective class once per week. Students taking the Preparatory Course or the Practical Japanese Course are eligible for an elective class with no extra charge because it is included in the courses. Enjoy learning what you want to learn in your favorite elective class.

JLPT N1In order to succeed in the N1 level test students learn important techniques to answer all the five areas of questions – written characters, vocabulary, grammar, reading and listening.
JLPT N2In order to succeed in the N2 level test students learn important techniques to answer all the five areas of questions – written characters, vocabulary, grammar, reading and listening.
Japanese through NewsStudents express their opinions about news happening in Japan in front of others.
EJU Preparation Students learn special techniques to answer listening and reading questions in preparation for the Examination for Japanese Universities (EJU) held in June and November.
Japanese Tidbits Looking at the Japanese language another way, students learn and talk about, for example, tongue twisters and the features of Japanese prefectures.
Business Japanese Students learn basic business language skills, including introductions, telephone conversations and business communications both internally and externally.
Experiencing Japanese Culture Students experience and discuss Japanese cultural activities such as the tea ceremony, flower arrangement and traditional Japanese dance.

Major Events in JapanStudents learn about major events in the past and present, including hottest social topics of today. It is also designed to prepare students for “Japan and the World” questions in the Examination for Japanese Universities.
EJU Preparation Students will learn special techniques to answer listening and reading questions in preparation for the Examination for Japanese Universities (EJU) held in June and November.
Natural Conversation Students learn basic ways of natural talking, proper manners in conversation, natural pronunciation, how to vocalize, how to choose the right words and how to express yourself properly.
Business Japanese Students learn basic business language skills, including introductions, telephone conversations and business communications both internally and externally.
Experiencing Japanese Culture Students experience and discuss Japanese cultural activities such as the tea ceremony, flower arrangement and traditional Japanese dance.
Japanese through Manga & Movies Through manga and movies students learn about Japanese culture, Japanese ways of thinking and colloquial expressions. Students also share their opinions and practice using colloquial expressions.
