As one of the optional classes every Friday, we offer a "Japanese Cultural Experience Class" at the Human Academy Japanese Language School (HAJL). In this class, the students can enjoy a variety of Japanese traditional culture as well as modern pop culture, which may be difficult to experience in our usual daily lives. The following is a short report about the Japanese Cultural Experience Class held from this April. What do you want to try?
Postrecording of animated cartoon
In this experience, we used the unique contents of the vocational college of the Human Academy Group. Everyone looks like they’re having fun!
Making of imitation food samples
Doesn’t this look real!? We made an imitation food sample of a parfait. This is also part of unique Japanese culture!
Visiting the Ghibli Museum
Everyone loves it! We visited the Ghibli Museum, one of the major representative animation studios in Japan.
Making of Japanese confectionery
We went to a long-established Japanese confectionery class in Kyoto. Japanese confectionery is said to be enjoyed by our eyes and our mouth. Check it out - Looks beautiful!
We went to NHK, a TV broadcasting station, and played the role of a newscaster in a simulated news program.
Visiting an instant noodle factory
We learned the history of the invention of instant noodles, and made our own instant noodles.
Folding paper and Japanese calligraphy
Students wrote their own favorite words using a writing brush and folded a piece of paper into the figure of a crane.
Japanese tea ceremony
We had a look at the manner of the Japanese tea ceremony. Our legs went numb…
In addition to those mentioned above, various experiences are still waiting for you. Please look forward to them!
