Coming to Japan to study had been my dream for a long time. I had always been interested in Japanese trends, particularly in regard to hairstyles. So, once I graduated from university in Taiwan, I decided to come to Japan to study hair styling.
I chose Human because of the number of students from so many different countries that attend there, forcing me to put myself in a situation where I could not rely on Chinese. Human's focus on communication was another important reason; it may have been the most important. I did not come to Japan to pass some test, I came here to express myself.
At Human, I had to introduce myself in front of my classmates in my first course. I was so nervous. But the teacher was always right by my side, encouraging and guiding me and I eventually came around to prefer this class style. It takes a lot of preparation in advance, but it lead to my Japanese ability increasing by leaps and bounds. Human also offers a number of elective classes such as JLPT preparation, conversation skills, business Japanese, and Japanese culture experience.
I truly enjoyed my experience at Human and I made friends hailing from countries all over the world. The teachers at Human are always kind and enthusiastically go out of their way to help you with anything you do not understand. They offer support with not just the contents of the classroom, but all the little things about daily life in Japan. It's like having Japanese parents who care about you.
I feel so lucky that I chose The Human Japanese Language School.
Once I graduate from my beauty school, I intend to return to Taiwan with the skills and service I have learned at Human to realize my dream as a hairstylist. Make sure to stop by my salon once I am done to get your hair styled everyone!
