We had a bus tour to AMANOHASHIDATE in Kyoto!

We always have a lot of fun things for students at HAJL! This time, we visited AMANOHASHIDATE in Kyoto, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan. It was raining in the morning but it became sunny when we arrived there. It was a balmy day after all. On the bus we saw beautiful mountains covered with red leaves of trees. Four seasons in Japan are very beautiful!!
We went from Urashima Temple to Michino Station/Funaya-Sato and Chion Temple. There are a lot of interesting things at each place. There is a sea turtle on the wall made by straw (The tail is very long!) (Picture 1) and some kites flew right in front of us!! It was a impressive moment for us living in a city. We had great experience.
At Chion Temple, they have unique charms and paper fortune. Everyone bought charms. A lot of students choose RANDOSEL (A school bag for elementary school students in Japan) shaped charm!! They bought it for their family and friends. I drew a SENSU(Japanese fan) shaped fortune which is a very rare shape. (Picture 2, 3)

After there, we went to see the KAISENKYO, which is the only bridge that rotates 90 degrees when a big ship goes through. (Picture 4) We waited for a while to see the rotation of the bridge and luckily, we could see it!! The other side of the bridge, we saw the pine grove that is 3km long. The view from this point is called Hiryukan (literally, "view of the flying dragon"), because the trees seem to be climbing into the heavens. The Ama no Hashidate view is often called "looking between one's legs", and when you do peek at it from between your legs, due to the land and sky appear to be reversed, the line of pine trees give create an illusion of floating up into the air, causing it to be called variously, "Fisherman's boat of Heaven" and "Bridge to Heaven". (Picture 5)
At last, we ate famous black bean ice cream cone in comfortable breeze. We enjoyed all day.

Support for recruiting by HAJL!

There are a lot of students who are willing to work using their high level Japanese skills at HAJ. We are supporting those students with Human Resocia, an employment agent in our group company.
We hold seminars and individual counseling for international students on the regular basis with Human Resocia. They have knowledge and information on recruiting for foreign job hunters and students can gather a lot of information from them with counseling. We will continue supporting our students for their successful employment.

Congratulations to the students who passed university exam!!

Let's hear from the students who already passed the university examination!

Mr. Tian Bo (China) April 2010 student University: Waseda University Science and engineering department

Q :
How did you feel when you passed the exam?
A :
I studied 7 to 8 hours a day everyday after the morning class 5 months prior to the exam. I was very thrilled when I knew I passed the exam thinking, "my effort was rewarded!!" My parents wasn't thinking I would pass, they were very happy.
Q :
What were the difficult part of preparing for the exam?
A :
Because I choose Science and engineering department, I had to study other subjects other thanJapanese language. I was very nervous but because my teacher had let me practice face-to-face interview, I did okay there as well.
Q :
What is your dream?
A :
I want to learn Japanese high quality technology, have a career in Japan, and after that I want to contribute to my country with my experience in Japan.
Q :
Please give some message to those who are willing to go on to higher education in Japan.
A :
The most important thing is to study Japanese. Japanese language is the base for everything including life in Japan. After you are well with Japanese, you can start doing other things well. Some people give up easily after coming to Japan with dreams and goals. It is very important to stick with them, believe yourself, and keep working hard for them, you will be successful.
Mr. Tian Bo

Congratulations again to him for passing the examination!! We hope that you make your dreams come true!!
