Testimonials

I wanted to learn Japanese when I heard it is the language used in anime.

When I was in Nepal, I used to watch a lot of Japanese anime. When I heard the language used in anime, I thought it was really nice and decided to learn Japanese.
One thing that made an impression on me while studying Japanese is the use of honorific language. In Nepali, I don't use honorific language much, so when I saw Japanese people using it a lot, I felt it would be fun to try speaking it myself.
The most difficult thing I find in Japanese is kanji. Coming from a non-kanji country, it is a bit challenging for me to write and memorize kanji. But the teachers are very kind and helpful while teaching me.
When I came to Japan, I couldn't speak much Japanese and had difficulty getting along with the people around me. Now, my Japanese has improved, and I have gained enough confidence to approach and talk to strangers.
My dream is to first continue my studies, work in a hotel, gain a lot of experience, and ideally become a top-class hotelier in Japan.

I chose HAJL because I found speaking Japanese was more difficult than reading and writing.

I started learning Japanese with a friend from university who was interested in the language.
I chose HAJL, with its emphasis on conversation practice, because I found speaking Japanese was more difficult than reading and writing.
I enjoyed the fact that my Japanese improved rapidly through the help of the teacher and my own efforts. The teacher was kind and polite. They taught me many different things.
When I first came to Japan, everything was difficult, but now I can do simple procedures. I also studied for exams and was able to get into graduate school.
After graduating from graduate school, I want to return to my home country and become a history teacher.
