Principal's Greetings
Human Academy Japanese Language School was established in 1987 and will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2027.
To date, many of our students have gone on to graduate school, university, or vocational school, as well as finding employment in Japan or using their Japanese language skills to succeed in their home countries. Currently, we are one of the largest Japanese language schools in Japan, with students from approximately 60 countries studying together.
A key feature of our school's education is the development of practical communication skills that are valuable in the real world. Our classes incorporate an activity-centered approach where students take the lead, and we implement "peer learning," where students learn together through dialogue and collaboration.
Furthermore, we evaluate each student's Japanese language ability based on our school's evaluation criteria, starting at the time of enrollment and continuing every three months, to ensure appropriate class placement. We also actively support students' advancement to higher education, offering numerous practical guidance sessions such as interview preparation courses, information sessions on higher education, workshops led by alumni, and individual consultations, providing students with suggestions and advice on the most suitable learning methods.
Japan has many wonderful places besides Tokyo. Among them, Hiroshima, centered around the Seto Inland Sea, has a thriving industrial sector including the automotive, steel, and shipbuilding industries, and has produced world-class companies. Agriculture and fisheries are also flourishing, with oysters in particular accounting for about 60% of the national market share. A diverse range of traditional industries are also concentrated there, forming a strong foundation for the regional economy.
Furthermore, Hiroshima Prefecture has a role to play in making concrete contributions to the international community toward the realization of a peaceful world free of nuclear weapons. In particular, Hiroshima City, as the first city in human history to be hit by an atomic bomb and a city that experienced the destruction caused by the atomic bomb and its subsequent reconstruction, continues to advocate for the abolition of nuclear weapons and the realization of lasting world peace.
The newly opening Human Academy Japanese Language School Hiroshima Campus is a Japanese language school where international students from all over the world can learn not only Japanese but also about "peace" in depth. The school is within walking distance of places that convey the tragedy of nuclear weapons and the importance of peace to the world, such as the Atomic Bomb Dome, Peace Memorial Park, and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, making it possible to learn by combining classroom learning with actual fieldwork.
Through activities that share our desire for peace with many people both domestically and internationally, and through peace education, we provide opportunities to learn the "spirit of Hiroshima"—protecting, spreading, and conveying peace—in this place, and to produce individuals who can spread the message of peace to the world.

Hiroaki Saegusa
Hello everyone. This is Saegusa from Human Academy Japanese Language School Hiroshima Campus.
Do you know the city of Hiroshima? When people think of Japan, they often think of Tokyo, Osaka, or Fukuoka. Hiroshima is located between Osaka and Fukuoka. It's not as big as Tokyo or Osaka, but it is blessed with abundant nature, including the sea and mountains, and has many attractions, including the World Heritage site Itsukushima Shrine (Miyajima).
At our Hiroshima campus, we not only focus on learning Japanese, but also on deepening our understanding of Hiroshima and Japan through cultural experiences, peace education, and interaction with local people. As students studying in Hiroshima, a city affected by the atomic bomb, we also believe that passing on our desire for peace and the importance of life to the next generation is an important part of our learning experience.
I hope that you will use the experiences and lessons you gained in Hiroshima in your respective countries and regions, and that you will carry on your desire for peace into the future.

Hiroshima is located in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions of Japan. The school building is situated in Hiroshima City's busiest downtown area, boasting spacious and open spaces, and is surrounded by many lively shopping streets and commercial facilities.
